I tried a few colours on my walls, it was lots fun. Once it is fully dry you can rub your hands over it & a little does come off on your fingers, but that's normal, but the texture & the colours...the effect, make it worthwhile.

Thank you for sending the materials out so quickly. Product was easy to use, and client was happy with the results.
Our painters also enjoyed working with it and said was better than some other products used in the past.

I do have a question with regards to the primer - Primer was extremely chalky once the wall dried, should this have been dusted off or leave to bind with finishing coats?

Thank you so much for the feedback. We're so pleased to hear the client was happy with the result and that your painters enjoyed working with the product as well! Regarding the primer, yes, that is completely normal. Our mineral primer is designed to be quite chalky once dry. Unlike acrylic primers, it is a mineral-based product and intentionally leaves a porous, mineral-rich surface for the limewash to bond to. There's no need to dust it off or remove the chalkiness. The subsequent limewash coats bind with the primer and create a cohesive finish. In fact, the slight chalkiness is what helps provide excellent adhesion and maintain the breathability of the system. I am about to make my third large order, we love the Dalray lime paint. We have made a straw-bail extension and the render is a lime render ( porous, also very thirsty compared to a stone, brick or plaster wall) and requires a breathable paint so conventional paint was not an option. I will certainly upload a picture after our final coat. It has been extremely easy to use, there is no smell and so easy to clean up.

I LOVE this limewash!!!! The colours are absolutely beautiful, and the sample size is enough to apply a large coverage so as to get a really good feel and look for how the colours will work in your room. Can’t wait to receive my full size products to complete the walls!!!

I love this way of painting. It’s so flexible how much you make up at a time. Really easy to apply and no odour at all.

I bought a test packet to see how it was and the ordered the larger amount. Arrived very quickly

The testers are great because you can get a good idea of the colour before committing to a full size product. We ended up ordering a 2nd tester in a different colour and mixing the 2 of them together as the original tester colour we got was too light. We mixed Byron with Clare and played around with different ratios and coats to find the right colour.

I chose Dalray because I was looking for less toxic paints. I bought 5 different testers to choose from - few different tones for different rooms in my house. I have settled on 3 colours and of course primer. I really love it and my eyes, sinuses and nose do not react to it either.
I am originally from Europe and I just love this kind of wall finish, it reminds me of Florence in Italy, when I was there last year. Thank you very much.
