Once again I can’t speak highly enough of Dalray’s limewash paint. We have now completed the back and front of our double story mud brick home with Dalray’s Lyre colour and it looks amazing. Kerryn & Colin
The colour has turned out a bit lighter than the image, on our mud brick exterior, but we love the colour. It also mixes easily and spreads well. I found the paint flows extremely well when the wall is sprayed with water first as mud bricks are quite dry.
I don't have the images on my laptop, but can send some via email at a later date.
So great to hear you liked our product! Thank you for the review!
Hi Roberto, so glad to hear you liked out product! Thank you so much for your review.
This product is so easy to prepare for painting.or washing. I am still trying different mixes of the paint to get the look I want on the exterior brick. The cream is the color I want on so it is getting close .
Very exciting project! All the best for it - hope it goes well. Thank you for your review!
We wanted to go for a natural looking feature wall that would give us that subtle, organic feeling - Byron was a great choice although a bit lighter than expected but it turned out really well!
Hi Niamh, this looks amazing! You have done a great job. Really obsessed with the final result
I hindsight I should have gone a darker colour as this doesn’t standout as much as I’d hoped it would. In saying that the product itself was amazing! Super easy to mix and apply with their brush!
It looks beautiful Madison thank you for your review!
I have just started limewashing our 1970's ugly duckling. The Whitsunday White changes it from drab to bright. I knew it would be a slow process, but it is actually faster than normal paint because it is thinner. I am half way through the first coat, and already looks so much better.
This is great to hear! Glad you had a good experience with our product.
Easy to use, less water for more textured look ,love everything about this paint, a little goes a long way ,no photos yet but have made another order and when project is finished I will happily post
Thank you so much Shannon! So glad to hear it is going well.
We are an husband and wife Architect and interior designer restoring an 1865 property in Donnybrook Western Australia. We recently ordered Dalray lime paint in the Byron colour, having tried local brands of lime paint , and couldn’t be happier with the results. The colour is beautifully soft and chalky, perfectly complementing the period features of the home. The texture has a lovely matte, slightly velvety finish that adds depth and character to the walls.
One of the standout features of this paint is its excellent coverage—one coat was enough to achieve an even, rich result, which was a pleasant surprise given the porous nature of lime-based products. It also adhered well to the existing surface without the need for extensive prep work and coped well with areas of previous modern paint without showing through.
The price was very reasonable for a premium lime paint, especially considering the quality and coverage and we love the try mix method to save weight and packaging -genius! Delivery was impressively fast, arriving in less than 5 days of ordering, which made it easy to stay on schedule with the restoration.
Overall, I highly recommend this lime paint for anyone working on a heritage home or looking for that exquisite natural paint finish. It’s easy to apply, has a timeless finish, and enhances the historical charm of older properties beautifully
This cream colour is just perfect for the small character bedroom we are just finishing.
It was just an awful crusty room with crumbling plaster and damp walls after decades suffering under plastic paint.
The Cream colour is fresh but also warm and buttery and I ended up ordering more for the kitchen
(Photo is the before of the kitchen, will send through after)
Hi Phillipa, thank you so much for your lovely and in depth review - we love hearing good feedback and very glad to hear that both colours worked well for your home
We are fixing up a heritage cottage with original lime plaster walls. You can see the damage modern paint has done to the walls over the years and using a natural paint is the only way to restore and maintain them for the future.
We were so excited to discover Dalray paints after having already tried expensive other brands and even making our own
That it comes in powdered form is genius and it really is so easy to manage. The speed of delivery, ease of application and, consistency and coverage make it a game changer, especially at the end of a very tricky restoration process.
We absolutely love that as it goes on and dries it does this magic thing where it evens out some of the imperfections while leaving the character and patina , the creamy suede like result is luxurious.
We have used Byron in the living space to give lightness without being white
Thanks George!
Dalray were able to provide a custom sample with 20% more pigment that was closer to the effect we required. Great service
Thanks George!! Appreciate the review.
Thanks Aaron! We will take note of the coverage difference
The Dalray limewash paint produced a warm textured finish that gives European charm with a high end feel. Used in our bathroom we are very happy. And very easy to apply too which is a bonus.
Thanks so much Jason - love that it worked out well for you
Thanks Alarna!
High quality paint, gorgeous finish and quick delivery and communication! I will definitely buy again for my next project
So happy to hear this!! Thank you for the great feedback
