Traditional primers often rely on synthetic binders and chemicals that seal a wall surface, blocking the natural movement of air and moisture. We took a different path and developed a unique mineral recipe that creates a hardy, breathable foundation, preparing your surface for limewash without compromising the wall’s natural airflow.

Our primer contains no synthetic binders or VOCs, ensuring a cleaner application and a healthier indoor environment. The mineral composition bonds beautifully to a range of substrates, helping create a smooth, receptive surface for limewash to adhere to and age gracefully.

With a generous coverage of 60 m² per 4 L bag (one coat), Dalray Limewash Primer offers exceptional value while delivering a refined, high-opacity finish. Its high opacity helps bring coloured surfaces back to a neutral white, ensuring consistent, luminous results once limewash is applied. This means fewer coats and a more durable finish, even over previously painted walls.

Beyond surface preparation, our primer plays an important role in the final look and feel of your limewash.
