We believe limewash should be allowed to be limewash. Naturally breathable, mineral-based, full of movement and character. And wherever possible, we think it should be left that way.
But some walls work harder than others. Hallways, commercial spaces, busy family homes and high-touch areas sometimes need more protection than an unsealed mineral finish can provide.
That’s why we’re introducing Dalray Acrylic Sealer, a water-based clear protective coating we’ve carefully selected for its suitability with our limewash. Applied over cured limewash, it helps reduce surface transfer and improves the durability of the finished surface.
We want to be transparent about the trade-off. Like any acrylic coating, it will reduce limewash’s natural breathability, so we don’t believe every limewashed wall needs to be sealed. Use it selectively where added protection matters, and leave the rest unsealed.
